Hi everyone,
I am starting this blog so you can read about my life in Portugal. I will arrive there on July 13th and stay until early January 2015 ! I'm so excited. I've never been there before. Why am I going to Portugal ? Well, I am going there for my first ever sabbatical. A sabbatical is when a teacher gets time off to write, study, or travel. I love traveling so I decided to take a travel sabbatical. Teachers at CCSF are very lucky because we can apply for sabbaticals every seven years if we are working full-time. Thank you CCSF !!!
This blog is for my students. I will be studying the Portuguese language and will write about my experiences as a student learning a new language. It's going to be difficult and scary. I hope that reading my blog in English will be interesting for you and will help you improve your English.
